The latest tech newsletter is ready for early translation: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Tech/News/2016/05
Direct translation link: https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Translate&group=pag...
I'm planning to send the newsletter on Monday afternoon (UTC), i.e. Monday morning PDT. The existing translations will be posted on the wikis in that language.
There may be a few more edits by Friday, but the existing content should generally remain fairly stable. I will let you know on Friday in any case.
Let me know if you have any questions, comments or concerns. As always, I appreciate your help and feedback.

Hi. The text:
It was reverted on January 23 and deployed against last week.
is imho too abiguous.

It should read "again last week". That looks like a typing error. Does that help?

This has now been rephrased.
("Last week" will always be a bit confusing when we read it on Friday, because it's actually this week, but the newsletter isn't delivered until Monday.)

Hi. I was unclear.
... it was reverted [ because it did not work ] ... and deployed again [ thus we have the problem back since ]
This is not the intended message, is it?

No, I assumed it would be implied that we had fixed it before redeploying. One shouldn't assume things like that, I suppose. :) I've made that explicit as well as tried to address a couple of the other questions and requests. Sorry for not being clear enough. Existing translations don't need to be updated.

The text of the newsletter is now final. Three new items have been added since yesterday. There won't be any more changes; you can translate safely.
Thank you, and have a good weekend!

Hello!
One question about this item:
"The page history will get a help link. This will go to Help:Page history https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:MyLanguage/Help:Page_history on Meta. Wikis can exchange it for a link to their local pages."
Neither Phabricator nor the help page itself indicate how the link can be redirected to a local page. Should the newsletter include a link to the relevant instructions?

I have some questions too : "When you get a notification that an edit has been reverted, the notification now quotes part of the edit summary." Is it part of the revert edit summary or part of the reverted edit summary ?
"This was because of problems related to the new SessionManager component." Is SessionManager a new component or is there a new component in SessionManager ?
Can you help me ? Pols12

It is a part of the edit summary written by the user who reverted.
"This was because of problems related to the new SessionManager component." Is SessionManager a new component or is there a new component in SessionManager ?
Session Manager is a new component, introduced on TechNews week 03 https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Tech/News/2016/03.

Instructions concerning this page are the same as Messages System: change the message locally. The concerned message is "MediaWiki:History-helppage", as detailed on the linked Phabricator task.
Thank you again for translating Tech News ! :)
Bonne fin de semaine, Benoît

Thanks for all the questions (and to Benoît for answering). I'll take a look and see if I can clarify the English text in a way that doesn't require any translations to be redone, and will try to be more precise next week.
Gratefully yours,

Thank you all for your help! It is deeply appreciated. The newsletter has now been delivered (in 18 languages) to subscribers across wikis.
Thank all of you who quickly updated the translations, and thank all of you who were not given the chance to do so for your patience and understanding when these things happen.
