Hello,
I propose to migrate the WMF translation projects to the Translate extension:
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=28021
This will make the translation much more efficient and save a lot of
time for everyone.
Your comments are welcome.

Hello all,
Today we are starting a new translation request for the 2011 Wikipedia
Editors Survey[1].
The Wikimedia Foundation's Global Development Department is running
this 50 question, 18 minute long survey to better understand the
Wikipedia editing community. The survey will allow us to refresh our
data, get more accurate, reliable, and valid sample data, determine
influences on Wikipedia activities, understand editing activities, and
find ways to improve retention and increase diversity.
As this is a global survey of all of our Wikipedia projects, we would
like to have it translated into as many languages as possible so that
many people can participate. If you are interested in helping with
this, please see the Translation page[2] for tips and for the
translation workspace.
Please note that all translations need to be completed by March 23rd,
so that we may begin programming the survey into our system and have
it ready by the end of March.
If you have any questions about this request or need assistance,
please feel free to ask on the list, the request's talk page, or on
IRC.
Thanks
Alex and Casey

Dear fellow translators,
I'm not convinced about the privacy concerning this survey and I'm not the only
one
At http://strategy.wikimedia.org/wiki/Editor_survey_feedback
are yet some other remarks. Please read them before you publish this to the
entire community.

First: CheckUsers are always able to track you so for them it's never anonymous
unless you fill them out in an Internet café...
In the personal questions should always be the option "Don't know/Don't want to
tell"
Examples:
* "Do you have children?" - Men, including me, in certain circumstances don't
know...
* "Monthly income" - Freelancers and criminals don't want to reveal this for
obvious reasons.
* "Gender" - Even this may cause problems incase of 'transsexual' and
'transgender' (BTW those words are synonyms)

I finished the translation of Sue's "March 2011 Update" letter into Hebrew.
Currently the translated banner that i see in the Incubator links to
the letter in English. It would be very nice to link translated
banners DIRECTLY to a translated version of the letter, if a
translation is available. Of course, this is true for all languages.
It's possible that that is intended already and i missed it; if it is,
please disregard my message.

Hi all,
Today the Wikimedia Foundation released a broad statement to the
community about the recently completed editor trends study and our
general priorities for the calendar year. The intent here is to
stimulate conversation about this data, and to provide clearer
insights into our immediate priorities following the strategic plan
release.
This statement is transmitted via a CentralNotice banner[1] and a
letter on strategy.wikimedia.org. [2] We’ve put up a translation
request for the banner and the letter, and will not immediately be
rolling out the English messages on projects other than English, in
order to give you all (and anyone else interested) a chance to
translate. We'll slot in translated notices as they become available.
This is an important message and we hope you'll help. :-)

Hi translators.
I don't know who "Limoke" is, but I would appreciate them stop sending out mass mailings using the lists email address - I have no idea who else got the "Badoo" email earlier, or who bothered to open it, but I went to unsubscribe myself and happily unsubscribed the whole dang list.
Whoever you are, assuming you're on this list, please stop.
