I'm preparing for a new Inspire Campaign focused on bringing in ideas on
how we can better do outreach to outside places of knowledge, and work
together with public & private institutions, organizations, and experts to
improve our projects.

How do you interpret "the movement strategy architect team"?
team of architect of a strategy for the movement

where "Board" is a recurring term.
I guess that it is referring to the board of trustees

If not, in the previous link, translations are rather parse in their
meaning (as far as I can say):
* Kuratorium
* Consejo directivo
* Zuzendaritza Batzordea
* Comité des sages
* Rada Powiernicza
* Conselho Diretivo
I translated "trustees" it in Esperanto to "kuratoro" (you find the same
roots in the German translation), and "board of trustees" as
"kuratoraro" (group of "kuratoro"), but "board" alone as "estraro"
(group of leader/boss/chief).
Any comment is welcome.

So I just finished the Esperanto translation of "Message group > All
>2017 Wikimedia Movement Strategy Portal

(reviewers are welcome), and I'm begining to look at the result
<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Strategy/Wikimedia_movement/2017/eo> to
see if I see problems which are more obvious in context.
Falling in this criteria, is the string "Strategy/Wikimedia
movement/2017/Team", that had been (oddly) translated to
"Strategy/Wikimedia movement/2017/Teama", probably from the idea it
would be a section title, as it's a common formatting in (at least)
Technews.
But it happend to in fact just be a internal link target. So, I went
back to the translator interface, searched "2017/Teama", found a string
and replaced it with the original string. Now going to the resulting
page, it doesn't change anything, even after a "?action=purge" and
browser cache cleaning. So, ever translation have an other specific
cache, or the message I reversed is not the one I'm looking for, but
then I have no idea how to find it, as "2017/Teama" doesn't return
result anymore. Do you have any idea what's going on?
An other point I noticed, is that translation variables carrying a link
target might inconsistently include the "Special:MyLanguage/" prefix or
not. So sometime you do have to explicitly add "Special:MyLanguage/" and
sometime, you shouldn't, as prefixing it multiple time will only perform
the redirection for the first occurrence. That is
"Special:MyLanguage/Special:MyLanguage/Example" will lead to the page
"Special:MyLanguage/Example".
Also, how can I find the history of a specific string? I think the
translation interface should provide some direct link to the string
dedicated page. What is your opinion about that?
By the way, do we have consultation statistics for each page easily
accessible somewhere? I think it would also be interesting to have a
direct access to something like that, along the "This page was last
modified on" statement.

Hi everyone,
TL;DR: Dates in items that are in the newsletter every week could be in a
format that means you could get a 100% in the translation memory and not
have to change the days and months every week. Do you want this?
Longer version:
Based on Mathieu's suggestion, I've tested adding dates within <tvar> tags.
This makes it more complicated the first time you translate, but should
mean that you can then use a 100% match from the translation memory every
time and just click on it the same way you do for any other content that
stays exactly the same, instead of manually having to change the days and
months every new week.
It looks like this:
{#time:<tvar|defualtformat>d
xg</>|<tvar|date1>2017-01-24</>|<tvar|format_language_code>{{CURRENTCONTENTLANGUAGE}}</>}}
which means that I get this when I translate:
{{#time:$defualtformat|$date1|$format_language_code}}.
For Swedish, I can just keep it like that: Where the English original said
"24 January" the Swedish translation will say "24 januari".
Some languages write dates in another format. For Mandarin Chinese, the
first time I do a translation I need to change it to
{{#time:n月j日|$date1|$format_language_code}} (and the same for $date2 and
$date3). I imagine RTL languages will need to change something too the
first time they translate this, for example.

Pro: Less burden for returning translators. You translate this once,
whether you change the date format or not, then you just click on the
translation in the translation memory next week.
Con: More complicated. More difficult for new translators, especially if
the standard format doesn't match the norms of their language.
The question: Do you want this, or did you prefer it the way it was? This
is all about making it as easy as possible for you, so you decide.
