The latest tech newsletter is ready for early translation:
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Tech/News/2019/05
Direct translation link:
https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Translate&group=page-T…
I plan to send the newsletter on Monday afternoon (UTC), i.e. Monday
morning PT. The existing translations will be posted on the wikis in
that language. Deadlines:
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Tech/News/For_contributors#The_deadlines
There may be a more edits by Friday but the existing content should
generally remain fairly stable. I will let you know on Friday in any
case.
Let me know if you have any questions, comments or concerns. As
always, we appreciate your help and feedback.
(If you haven't translated Tech News previously, see this email:
https://lists.wikimedia.org/pipermail/translators-l/2017-January/003773.html
If I can help you with anything, please ask!)
One item might be fixed before the newsletter goes out. In order to
not have outdated info or have to ask you to retranslate, I've added a
brief item we can use instead if it's fixed; I'll remove the incorrect
one before sending out the newsletter on Monday.

So yesterday I was very tired, and sent out this (including a wrong
link) to the wrong email address, not catching my mistake until now.
Mea culpa. The issue has now been frozen. There won't be any more
changes; you can translate safely.

Hello everybody,
TL;DR: we, the WLL team, want to translate and mass message
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wiki_Loves_Love/communication_release/2019/…
I would like to know if some people here could help us with the preparations and
distribution of a message for Wiki Loves Love.
First a bit of context: Wiki Loves Love (WLL) is an international
photography competition of Wikimedia Commons with the subject love
testimonials happening in the month of February. With the rest of Wiki
Loves Love team we are in the last preparations of the February edition,
which include to mass message a small call to help in our last minute tasks:
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wiki_Loves_Love/communication_release/2019/…
From what I know at least the following countries should get active
support from some local wikimedians:
France, Germany, India, Italy, Nigeria, Zambia
So, if you could help me to join people speaking one or more languages
from this countries (and further) it would be great!
Thank you in advance for any help and feedback you could provide, cheers.
Greetings,
The Structured Data on Commons team is preparing to release multilingual
file captions to Wikimedia Commons, part of the extension Wikibase
MediaInfo.
There are a handful of strings that still need translated into as many
languages as possible before we release the software. If you have a few
minutes, please take a look at what remains untranslated in your language:
https://translatewiki.net/wiki/Special:Translate/ext-wikibasemediainfo?grou…
Thank you for your time and translations, happy editing to you all.
