Hi all,
as many of you are already aware, the Wikimedia Funds Dissemination Committee (FDC) is currently seeking input from the community to help evaluate financial requests from eleven Wikimedia organization - ten chapters and Amical Wikimedia -, totaling about $5.85 million: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/FDC_portal/Proposals/Community/Review (closing October 31)
To bring this invitation to the attention of editors - whose volunteer work much of the requested money is planned to support - we are currently running CentralNotice banners for logged-in editors on all projects. The first banner reuses bot-updated translations from the last FDC round, but translation help is still needed for the following banners:
* https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Translate&group=Cen... (this is an alternative banner to the one reused from the last round, testing some wording changes - e.g. it clarifies that comments in another language than English are fine, even though the proposals themselves are all in English)
Also, there are country-specific banners inviting editors to comment specifically on the funding request from an organization in that country. They should be translated into the local languages:
* German for: https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Translate&group=Cen...
* Swedish for: https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Translate&group=Cen...
* Serbian for: https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Translate&group=Cen...
* Dutch for: https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Translate&group=Cen...
* Hebrew for: https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Translate&group=Cen...
* Indic languages for: https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Translate&group=Cen...
* German for: https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Translate&group=Cen...
* German, French, Italian, Romansh for: https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Translate&group=Cen...
* Spanish for: https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Translate&group=Cen...
* Catalan, Spanish for: https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Translate&group=Cen...
(For completeness, there is also: https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Translate&group=Cen... - no priority translations here though, as most residents of the UK speak English ;)
Many thanks!
Where do I translate the banners which I've already been seeing since this morning (or perhaps yesterday)? The Italian translation was rather atrocious.

As mentioned in my previous post, those banners are reusing translations from the previous FDC round. They contain a link to the translation page on the bottom right ("Dai una mano con le traduzioni!" in the Italian version). If you click on that link, you can modify existing translations, or provide new translations. More than 20 users have already done so at this point, so I don't think it's very hard to find.

True, I usually follow only translators-l links/requests because otherwise I'm not sure something is important enough/really going to be sync'ed.
