Hey translators!
As you may have heard, we went live with an appeal from Jimmy[1] in the English sitenotices. This has caused us to receive the most donations in one day since the beginning of the fundraiser[2][3].
Now that it's done so well on the English sites, we should get it out to your local communities too. :) I know it's close to the holidays, but the page isn't too long and (considering how much it's boosted donations) is very important.
All translations are greatly appreciated! The faster we get them, the better.
The workspace is on Meta-Wiki.[4] If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail the list.

Hi! Merry Christmas to all! Could someone please take a look at the css of the appeal sitenotice - at least on my computer - it doesn't fit in the box...
Thanks, Bence

Hi, An other issue, that affects other languags as well is the fact that "Collapse", "Expand" and the text of the collapsed version are taken from the default (English) messages, instead of the localised ones.
Best regards, Bence Damokos

Yes, there's a bug about this: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16773

I was hoping no one would notice that. :-) I'm not sure what's causing the problem, I'll ask Tomasz to take a look when he gets back from holiday.

Merry Christmas from me to you,
yes, this issue is for hsb and dsb as well. But there is still another issue or is it already been? Now there is a grey stripe above the menu bar on http://wikimediafoundation.org/wiki/Donate/ and its subpages. Do you see it as well or is my browser the problem? I have SeaMonkey 1.1.13.
Regards, michawiki
Hi,
Casey, on http://wikimediafoundation.org/wiki/Donate/Letter/dsb the menubar and the banner text (both for logo and Wikipedia motto) are still in English. They should be in Lower Sorbian.
Regards michawiki

Fixed
Hi,
Sorry but I found a small error in the Lower Sorbian sitenotice yet. There is a hacek too much in the word "Pšo*š*ym": It must be "Pšo*s*ym". I read the text several times through and didn't notice the error.
Thanks and kind regards, michawiki

Hm, it doesn't work for me. I cleared the cache but the hacek doesn't disappear. Is it possible to force the sitenotice? Seems it appears after a certain interval only.
Regards, michawiki
Thanks for the quick fixes! Will the nice quotes be translatable as well?
Best regards, Bence Damokos

Works now for dsb and hsb.

Maybe, eventually. :-) They're still just in English now. The earliest we would start a translation request for them (if we do it) would be after the holidays, when everyone's back in the office.

Would it make a difference if someone prematurely (without a request) translated it in his free time? :)

No not really, other than wasting that person's time. :-) (Even if we posted them, they wouldn't show up on the other wikis until someone flipped a special switch to turn it on for all wikis.)

I re-arranged the text, so now it's fitting for those languages.
