Hello! The latest issue of the Tech News bulletin is ready for early translation at: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:MyLanguage/Tech/News/2014/25
The bulletin will be sent to subscribers on Monday morning (UTC); all translations existing by that time will be posted on wikis in those languages.
There might be some edits tomorrow, but the content should remain fairly stable -- I will let you know as soon as a final version of the issue is published.
Please let me know if you have any questions, comments or concerns. I appreciate your help, feedback and involvement.

There are some fixes; including a missing translate tag that caused an item to not be shown in the translate interface.
The new VE options to set the display title is more descriptive (and adds the precision that it only works on wikis that authorize this change, e.g. DISPLAYTITLE is disabled and produces no effect on Meta-Wiki, some wikis are restricting the change to only names that are canonically equivalent to the pagename, after conversion of underscores to spaces and conversion of the first character to uppercase; some wikis are more permissive and allow arbitrary changes but on most Wikimedia wikis, this setting is restricted, if not simply disabled)
Most wikis do not need the __AMBIG__ magic keyword (they integrate it in the code of a message box template, which should be inserted at top or bottom of pages (the placement of this box is dependant of common practices for each wiki. The name of the message template is also wiki-dependant. I don't know if the VisualEditor is customizable on each wiki to specify which code shokd be used to call the template instead of the magic keyword.

Hi again, this is just to let you know that I just froze this week's issue of Tech News and published its final version at https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:MyLanguage/Tech/News/2014/25.
One new item has been added since my last message to this mailing list: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Translations:Tech/News/2014/25/23/en is about the upcoming change in the scope of the special page that lists templates that are most linked to & its subsequent rename.
From now on, there will be no more changes coming to this issue of
Tech News; as always, it will be distributed to subscribers on Monday morning according to the publication schedule visible on top of the page on Meta.
Thank you all for your involvement and your time, and enjoy the rest of your weekend!
