The latest tech newsletter is ready for early translation: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Tech/News/2017/02
Direct translation link: https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Translate&group=pag...
I'm planning to send the newsletter on Monday afternoon (UTC), i.e. Monday morning PT. The existing translations will be posted on the wikis in that language. Deadlines: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Tech/News/For_contributors#The_deadlines
There may be a few more edits by Friday, but the existing content should generally remain fairly stable. I will let you know on Friday in any case.
Let me know if you have any questions, comments or concerns. As always, I appreciate your help and feedback.

Hi Johan, happy new year to you. :)
A new suggestion of improvement in preparation of translation :
Tech/News/2017/02
might become
Tech/News/<tvar|year>2017</>/<tvar|issue>02</>
Cheers, Mathieu

The same to you, Mathieu, and all other Tech News translators. (:
Thank you for the suggestion. The problem here is that 2017/02 is part of the page title, and we can't use <tvar> tags (or < at all) in MediaWiki page titles.

There are several keywords to get the tiltle of the page https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Magic_words#Page_names, and any part of it can be extracted with #titleparts https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Extension:ParserFunctions#.23titleparts.
So probably something like {{#titleparts: |{{PAGENAME}}| | 2 | 3 }} I guess

The text of the newsletter is now final. One new item has been added since yesterday. There won't be any more changes; you can translate safely.
Thank you, and have a good weekend!

Thank you all for your help! It is deeply appreciated. The newsletter has now been delivered (in 16 languages) to subscribers across wikis.
