I'd like to know possibilities on each langs mentioned on the above. Other langs' cases are also appreciate, specially suggestion like "you forgot XXX and why you shouldn't have missed it".
The main changes are to these two paragraphs:
"IP addresses of users, derived either from those logs or from records in the database are frequently used to correlate usernames and network addresses of edits in investigating abuse of the wiki, including the suspected use of malicious "sockpuppets" (duplicate accounts), vandalism, harassment of other users, or disruption of the wiki."

Yes, that would be great, as long as translators are aware that changes may be needed after they make the initial translation.

BTW, there's no Japanese version of current Privacy Policy, right? When you click プライバシー・ポリシー at the bottom of ja.wp, it follows to the English version.

I don't know why that isn't linked from http:..wikimediafoundation.org/wiki/Privacy_policy - perhaps it hasn't been updated since the English version was approved.

Apologies for too late reply... I still have been and will be busy due to my master thesis/defence and full-time job hunting, until early August at earliest.

Perhaps you would like to have a full list of languages an application in which are recommended?

Applications are welcome in English, French, Spanish, Chinese, and Japanese (which are 5 core languages for the conference). Of course if such languages come in, translators will be asked to help parse the application as well.

We can modify that part "XXX words in the language you choose". Including English, of course. Now I hereby propose that. Comment?
The same problem we faced on Election 2005, and then, we set the rules for candidate address length so, In my rough experiment, 200 words in Japanese (with kanji, of course) didn't more nor less expressive than so many words in English.
