Could I please get folks to look at the translations requests at http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Fundraising_2010/Translation ?
I'm surprised how few there are - we have to launch the fundraising campaign on Friday, and I'd hate to launch in English on those sites. Is there anything we can do to encourage you to work on them?
Your work is much appreciated....

I'm not sure what the current process is, so I defer to Casey to answer that.

We usually prefer translations to be proofread before being published. However, if the deadline is approaching and you can't find anyone and really don't want English going up, review the translation again yourself, mark it as ready, and then we'll publish it.
