Greetings,
The latest tech newsletter is ready for early translation: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:MyLanguage/Tech/News/2013/43
It's relatively short at the moment; it took me less than 10 minutes to translate it to French.
I'm planning to send the newsletter in about 2 days. The translations that are complete or mostly complete will be posted on the wikis in that language.
I will probably add a few items by tomorrow, but the existing translations shouldn't be impacted. There will be time between Saturday and Sunday to translate the possible new items.
Let me know if you have any questions, comments or concerns. I appreciate your help and feedback.
Note: These two templates appear on the page and need to be translated separately (if translations aren't already done): https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Template:Tech_header https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Template:Tech_news_nav
Thanks!
Translated to Hebrew. Thanks for preparing this.
Some questions: * In the part about Toolbox/Tools you may want to let people know somehow that it was already changed for their languages. It was already re-translated for Hebrew, and I just decided to be bold and add it to the translation of the newsletter. * "you can now use it on pages in the $file, $help and $cat spaces" - how will these variables appear? In the language of the target wiki? * About BetaFeatures: "Another example is a change in how text is displayed." - I'm not quite sure what does it refer to and I won't know what to tell other Wikipedians if they will ask me about it. Can you maybe provide a clearer example or a link to documentation?
Thanks again!

Here is your link:
The typography update "Makes text more readable and beautiful, to benefit readers and editors alike. This beta feature uses serif headings for sections and sans serif for body copy to clearly differentiate them from body paragraphs, for a better visual experience that works consistently across desktop and mobile platforms."
Thanks! I updated the English text.

Hi, Is it possible to add the release date (with timestamp) of the newsletter on the draft page. I think it would be helpful for the translators to calculate how much s/he has to complete his task.

I'll try to find a way to do this for the next newsletter.

Thank you for translating it :)

that it was already changed for their languages. It was already re-translated for Hebrew, and I just decided to be bold and add it to the translation of the newsletter.
Good point. I've added a short note about this (in another sentence so existing translations wouldn't be invalidated).
- "you can now use it on pages in the $file, $help and $cat spaces" - how
will these variables appear? In the language of the target wiki?
Yes. The variables are in the form {{ns:File}}, so they'll appear in the language of the wiki where they're posted.
- About BetaFeatures: "Another example is a change in how text is
displayed." - I'm not quite sure what does it refer to and I won't know what to tell other Wikipedians if they will ask me about it. Can you maybe provide a clearer example or a link to documentation?
Keegan helped you there :) Let me know if you have other questions.

I've added three short sentences. The newsletter is now finished. Please help translate the remaining parts:
