Hello translators!
Wikimedia Italia asks your help to translate the subtitles of our instructional videos (aka WikiGuide); you can find the translation requests pages from http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Italia/WikiGuide (Wikipedia, Commons, Wikisource). All languages are appreciated. This is especially needed for our last video for Wikisource, http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Italia/WikiGuide/Wikisource (we need also English proofreading here).
We use Commons to translate subtitles, see the help page there: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Timed_Text#Internationalization
As you may know, WikiGuides are brief (~7 min) professional instructional videos designed to give readers and new editors a general overview (easy but precise) of how Wikimedia projects work. They're collaboratively written (and translated) and produced by Wikimedia Italia as part of the general Wikimedia movement outreach efforts (http://outreach.wikimedia.org/wiki/Bookshelf_Project ).
Subtitles will be immediately available to users on Commons and will be published all together on YouTube on *June, 19* by Aubrey (but also after that, if he spots them/you notify him).
Contact Aubrey on Meta, whatever you need: http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Aubrey Wikimedia Italia would also love to help you to further localize the videos (e.g. dubbing them, translating and re-using the script to completely remake them in another language), and to receive all sorts of feedback (e.g. how to make future videos more easily localizable): contact Aubrey!
Thank you very much for your help, Nemo
