Sorry for crossposting. CLDR data submission has started this week,
we're looking for more translators: so far I have added 23 new
translators who made over a thousands translations and seem happy with
the system.
Instructions are kept up to date at
<https://translatewiki.net/wiki/CLDR#Contribute_to_an_existing_locale>.
As you know, Wikimedia projects exist in almost 300 languages;
supporting them all is a big effort so we partner with other
organisations, also via Unicode. One small but visible thing we miss is
that many interwiki links in sidebar (among others) don't offer a
translation of the language name when hovered. This can be fixed: we're
now able to translate 100 more language names in your language.[1]
If you're interested, I can create you an account to submit translations
on the CLDR web tool (within June 14): please send an email[2] to ask
one and I'll follow up with instructions. On CLDR you can translate and
tweak many other things, if you desire; your work will impact hundreds
of software projects.[3]

Hello,
I want the subject's mailing list to be translatable and delivered the
same way as it's with Tech news. I've asked about it on it's
subscription page's talk page and faced there Lydia, who doesn't believe
that there would be any volunteers (except for me in the current point)
to translate it.
So if you would like to translate the newsletter when it would be set to
be possible, could you leave a note in
[[:m:Talk:Global_message_delivery/Targets/Wikidata#Multilingual
distribution
<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Talk:Global_message_delivery/Targets/Wikida…>]]
about your willing so we get Lydia convinced :) Poking friends who may
do it is welcome as well ;)
Also it would be nice if Odder or/and Guillom leave a note about
technical side of such delivery the same way as the latter was so kind
to leave in Education newsletter's talk :)
Yours sincerely,

As many may already have seen, the new, fully revamped mobile
Wikipedia app for Android was just released.[1] To bring it to the
attention of mobile readers of Wikipedia, we are currently running
banners (restricted to Android devices) which still need to be
translated into the following languages:
French, Italian, Russian, Japanese, Dutch
(Together with English and German, these correspond to the top 10
languages - including variants - where the app is available in a
localized version of sufficient quality, according to the developer
team. The banners can be translated into other languages too, but they
should only run in a language if the app is available in that
language, too.)
The text of the banners:
"The new official Wikipedia app for Android:
Faster speed, offline reading, and more."
Translate at: https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Translate&group=Centra…
"32 million articles, 280+ languages, one app
Download the new Wikipedia app now"
Translate at: https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Translate&group=Centra…
Many thanks!

Hello!
The latest issue of the Tech News bulletin is ready for early
translation at:
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:MyLanguage/Tech/News/2014/27
The bulletin will be sent to subscribers on Monday morning (UTC); all
translations existing by that time will be posted on wikis in those
languages.
There might (and probably will) be some edits tomorrow, but the
content should remain fairly stable -- I will let you know as soon as
a final version of the issue is published.
Please let me know if you have any questions, comments or concerns. I
appreciate your help, feedback and involvement.

Hello Chinese translators,
A warm thank you to all of you who have contributed to the translation of
Lila's Thank You letter in Chinese. Before we publish the letter, we would
highly appreciate your help to proofread the translation.
Please take a few minutes to read through the translation and use the
checkbox icon to mark as reviewed.
