Hallo!
The new Wikipedia Android App is going to be released very soon!
It needs translations to more languages. There are only 171 strings to translate, so you can do this in less than an hour.
Here's the direct link: https://translatewiki.net/w/i.php?title=Special:Translate&group=out-wiki...
If you don't have a translatewiki.net account yet, please create one at https://translatewiki.net .
Here are the statistics for all languages: https://translatewiki.net/w/i.php?title=Special%3AMessageGroupStats&x=D&...

Hello Amir,
that I'd like to do: But it is not possible to translate into Upper Sorbian and Lower Sorbian. Why not?

Michawiki

Because Android platform did not support three letter language codes [1]. Apparently that bug is now fixed, so I am wondering whether we could already enable those languages as well.

Hi Niklas,
thank you for your quick reply.
I see. Would it be possible if the mobile browser supports language switching? Meanwhile there are Upper Sorbian and Lower Sorbian Aurora builds for Firefox for Android 32 (Fennec). Firefox for Android 32 will have the new language switching feature.
Regards,
Michael

How about the software description on Google Play Store?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.wikipedia&hl=ja
I read this and found it is still written in English even in Japanese settings (of preferred language of the browser) to view this store.
Once it's get uploaded on translatewiki.net, I could go ahead.

Hi Takashi,
the play store description was actually already added as the last string to the group on translatewiki - you should see at at the bottom of https://translatewiki.net/w/i.php?title=Special:Translate&group=out-wiki... .
BTW, as mentioned in the other thread, for those languages where the app has been fully localized already, we want to run banners to notify users in that language about the app: http://lists.wikimedia.org/pipermail/translators-l/2014-June/002640.html - translations are still needed there for French, Italian, Russian, and Dutch (Japanese is already done).

Go to the direct link Amir showed, https://translatewiki.net/w/i.php?title=Special:Translate&group=out-wiki... then find "Translate to:" upper right, then click "English" link to select (just type) other language you would like to translate to. Hopes it helps.
