Hi everyone,
The latest tech newsletter is ready for early translation: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Tech/News/2015/32
Direct translation link: https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Translate&group=pag... https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Translate&group=page-Tech%2FNews%2F2015%2F31&action=page&filter=%21translated
I'm planning to send the newsletter on Monday afternoon (UTC), i.e. Monday morning PDT. The existing translations will be posted on the wikis in that language.
There may be a few more edits by Friday, but the existing content should generally remain fairly stable. I (or Gauillaume) will let you know on Friday in any case.
Let me know if you have any questions, comments or concerns. As always, I appreciate your help and feedback
Thanks!

I wouldn't be doing this properly for the first time if I didn't make any mistakes, of course. Sorry, that link will work if you copy and paste it but if you click on it it will take you to the last publish issue of Tech News, not the one we're working on now. Here's the correct link: https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Translate&group=pag...
Apologies.

Just a quick note to let you know that the text of the newsletter is now final. Two new items have been added since yesterday. There won't be any more changes; you can translate safely. :)
Thank you, and have a great weekend.

I can read “During the Gadgets 2.0 migration, we will be moving a lot of CSS pages around” in T73201. As far as I know, this migration has not happened yet (and the code is not ready). Why is that explained as “A lot of CSS pages were moved to prepare for the next version of gadgets“?

Hi,
there is an error in the statement:
You can now type in list paragraphs on wikis with right-to-left
languages. [1].
Scripts are right-to-left or left-to-right. Languages are not. There are several languages having either type of script to choose from.

Thank you for spotting these mistakes! The page has been updated. I apologize for any inconvenience this might have caused you. I can only hope that by making the mistakes now I will learn enough not to test your patience in the future. :)
