For your convenience, we have sorted the images into topic categories. Two rounds of voting will be held: In the first round, you voted for as many images as you like. The first round category winners and the top ten overall have made it to the final.* In the final round, when a limited number of images are left, you must decide on the one image that you want to become the Picture of the Year.*
Wikimedia Commons celebrates our featured images of 2012 with this contest. Your votes decide the Picture of the Year, so remember to vote in the first round by *February 14, 2013*.
To see the candidate images just go to the POTY 2012 page on Wikimedia Commons at * https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Picture_of_the_Year/2012/Introduc... *
Thanks, the Wikimedia Commons Picture of the Year committee
Hi Mono,
Again I am not seeing banner translations to be updated (after a week), such as zh-hant translation. I'm doing it now myself. May I know why?
(Also, zh has 9 variants, meaning zh-cn, zh-hans, zh-my, zh-sg are equivalent, and zh, zh-hant, zh-hk, zh-mo, zh-tw are equivalent. All 9 of them must be set since CN doesn't have fallback system yet.)
Regards,
Benjamin Chen / [[User:Bencmq]]

The round 2 POTY banner has appeared on Welsh Wikipedia (cy) in English. The link to the translation page has disappeared from the banner.
Please publish the Welsh (cy) central notice for the round 2 banner, or let me know if I need to do any further work to get this published.

Thank you for letting us know. The cy banners are now live, while the zh and zh variants were added by editors and should also be live. It seems that some recent translations were not added, although they should have been copied from the R1 banners. In the future, CentralNotice will employ the translate extension on Meta and fallbacks will be in place.
Thanks, User:Mono
