The latest tech newsletter is ready for early translation: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Tech/News/2016/02

I'm planning to send the newsletter on Monday afternoon (UTC), i.e. Monday morning PDT. The existing translations will be posted on the wikis in that language.
There will probably be a few more items by Friday, but the existing content should generally remain fairly stable. I will let you know on Friday in any case.
Let me know if you have any questions, comments or concerns. As always, I appreciate your help and feedback.
(That is week #2, not issue #2. There was no 2016/01 Tech News issue due to the Gregorian new year.)

The text of the newsletter is now final. Four items have been added since yesterday. There won't be any more changes; you can translate safely.
Thank you, and have a good weekend!

I gave this information:
The difference between "alerts" and "messages" notifications is unclear to some. The developers want feedback at ...
to someone who I know is eager to tell that he dislikes notifications as too complex and mostly superfluous time wasters.
I got a harsh feedback saying that feedback was impossible. He did not have a phabricator account and does not want one, and even after logging into https://www.mediawiki.org/, there was no "add section" link on the page, only "versions".
Just FYI.

The page uses Flow, which many Wikipedians haven't encountered before. I've posted simple directions in the thread itself.
Hi Purodha, Thanks for passing along the request, and the feedback. Please could you tell the editor that she/he can click * the box at the top of the page, labeled "Start a new topic", (localized message https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Flow-newtopic-start-placeholder/?? ) * or reply to the existing topic by clicking the "Reply" link underneath any post. (localized as https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Flow-reply-link/?? )
I've also created a feature request for adding a "New section" tab to Flow pages, at https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T123251
Hope that helps, Quiddity / Nick
