Hi Cary,
Hope you are well!
Please make users also aware of the standard MediaWiki translations that can be done at translatewiki.net. For the usability initiative we are keeping statistics (updated irregularly at request - just updated) at http://translatewiki.net/wiki/User:GerardM/usability-stats.
Translation for the usability extensions is available as a meta group[1], and messages of the Vector skin are inside the core MediaWiki message group[2]. Users need translator rights before they can contribute. A "How to get started" guide is at [3]
Cheers!
Siebrand

Hi all
As you know, the English Wikipedia has already converted to Vector, and the rest of the Wikipedias will be soon to follow, notably the other 9 of the top 10 languages will be converting June 8 or 9 (in an ideal world).
As per http://usability.wikimedia.org/wiki/Releases/Default_Switch, we'll need some translation to happen--including the Release page [1] and the feedback page[2]--which need to have a home on those language wikis.
For translators who are not in the top ten langauges, fear not! Your wiki will convert in the very near future, so it can't actually hurt to have these pages done.
Also, if you want to volunteer to be an "Ambassador", i.e. someone who is willing to bring local issues to the attention of the Foundation, please feel free to add your name to that page.
