Sorry about the short notice. As you might be aware, we're doing the annual
Community Wishlist Survey and want to put up a CentralNotice banner (only
available to editors with at least 1000 edits) so that the communities
don't miss their chance to suggest tools and improvements. However, there's
a problem with the translation tool for CentralNotice banners, which has
delayed this. We'll have to add the translations manually. And for that we
need your help, so that we can tell your community in their language.
Thank you. And my apologies. As always, deeply grateful for your help.
week. This will probably be sent out on Thursday of this week (before Tech
News is ready).
It's shorter than usual, and about 20% of the translation units should be
available in translation memory. It contains information about editing
software on desktop and mobile, the new Content Translation work, and the
upcoming Community Wishlist.
This will go to hundreds of pages on about a hundred wikis. As always, *every
language is welcome*. Additionally, if you are from any of these
Wikipedias, I particularly hope that you will translate at least the item
that is highlighted in yellow markup:
bn Bengali Wikipedia
hi Hindi Wikipedia
ar Arabic Wikipedia
fa Persian Wikipedia
id Indonesian Wikipedia
mr Marathi Wikipedia
ms Malay Wikipedia
ml Malayalam Wikipedia
th Thai Wikipedia
az Azerbaijani Wikipedia
sq Albanian Wikipedia
he Hebrew Wikipedia
(These are the wikis that might be affected by that project first.)

We are going to be sharing the results of the community engagement insights

Community Relations Specialist
We are looking to send out a short message about the Community Health
Metrics Kit discussion currently underway on Meta-Wiki.
The message is three sentences, and is here:
It is already translated into German (de). There is one sentence remaining
in French (fr). Other languages we are hoping to focus on are *es, it, zh,
ja, pt, ru, *and* ar*. But *if you can help in other languages, I'd greatly
If you would like to learn more about the consultation itself, you can read
the consultation page here:
(It is also marked for translation if you are interested, but that is a
larger ask, so I'm focusing on the messaging for the time being.)
Thank you for any help you can provide!
