Hello,
The Discovery team has been making good progress in enabling cross language
search results on several wiki's and now we need help in translating a
phrase: "*showing results from"*.
We recently deployed <https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T142413> [1] a
language detection algorithm on the Portuguese and Japanese wiki's that
will detect if certain languages are being keyed in using languages other
than the main language of the wiki.
For instance, we're now able to detect the following languages that are
typed into a query on these primary language wiki's:
Portuguese: PT, EN, RU, HE, AR, ZH, KO, EL
Japanese: JA, EN, RU, KO, AR, HE
But, we have a need for the system message to be translated - the system
message that notifies the user that the results displayed are from a
different language wiki. Here are working links from PT
<https://pt.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?search=Washington+Township%2C+Licking+…>
[2] and JA
<https://ja.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?search=Washington+Township%2C+Licking+…>
[3] that show a search example with the results displayed.
*Image

[4] showing
the sample results from an English search typed into the Russian Wikipedia
search box.*
It would be great if we can get these translations into translatewiki so
that the Discovery team can use them using these message keys (and this
message group link: https://translatewiki.net/wiki/Special:Translate?
group=ext-wikimediainterwikisearchresults):

Hello, translators! Hope everything is going well, wherever you are.
The Wikimedia Foundation's Legal Team is organising a community
consultation on the Foundation's copyright strategy.
In order to get a wide range of opinions and thoughts on the strategy,
we're looking to get it translated into as many languages as we can.
You can find the page to be translated here:
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Copyright_strategy
The consultation opens on Monday, August 29. We'd really appreciate your
work on this ahead of the official launch!
Many thanks in advance for your help with this, and have a great weekend!
best,
Joe

I'm planning to send the newsletter on Monday afternoon (UTC), i.e.
Monday morning PDT. The existing translations will be posted on the
wikis in that language.
There may be a few more edits by Friday, but the existing content
should generally remain fairly stable. I will let you know on Friday
in any case.
Let me know if you have any questions, comments or concerns. As
always, I appreciate your help and feedback.

Hello,
There is a small change to interactive maps [1] that we want to make a few
communities aware of. Currently the wikis with maps enabled are all
Wikivoyages and the Catlan, Hebrew, and Macedonian Wikipedias. Help in
translating this message so that I may share it in the local language would
be greatly appreciated.
I'm asking for French, Hebrew, German, Italian, and Spanish translations,
but others are welcome as well.

Please help me by translating two short sentences. They say, "Your
contributions on this page will be visible to the public immediately upon
saving. If you do not want your contributions to be irrevocably distributed
to the public, then do not save your changes."
The translatable page is here:
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:Whatamidoing_(WMF)/Wikinews
I definitely need this list of languages: *ar, ca, cs, de, el, en, eo, es,
fa, fi, fr, he, it, ja, ko, no, pl, pt, ro, ru, sr, ta, tr, uk, zh *
These are the languages that exist in Wikinews. I need the translations to
expand the copyright notice at the Wikinews projects on Wednesday, August
31st. I can't guarantee that any other languages will be used, but if you
want to give me a translation for another language, then thank you for
that, too.
Thank you!
Greetings,
The Reading department at the foundation would like to run an A/B test on
the Russian Wikipedia. It would be great if we could have the following
message translated to Russian for posting in their community. As always,
your help is greatly appreciated.

Please translate this message:
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Editing/Publish
This message describes a significant change to the most important button on
any wiki: the "Save page" button will soon be split into two labels:
"Publish page" (for new page creations) and "Publish changes" (for edits
to existing pages).
There are also links in the message for the button labels. Please check
those translations and make sure that they are accurate. Those
translations will be used by default at all MediaWiki installations (not
just Wikipedia and its sister projects), so precise, accurate translations
are important.
Experienced editors don't need to read the button's label to know what it
does, but user research over the years strongly supports this change for
new contributors. This change will be important to people who teach new
editors or who maintain help documentation.
I hope to send this message to more than 600 WMF wikis, in more than 200
languages, at the end of this week. Every language is important for this
change. Please help me if you can.
Thank you.
