As a side note, I don't think we need to worry. I just went to get the password for the account, and got told that all emails to this address are blocked, so it can't send anything to us. Hopefully this will be the last we hear of it! If you're unsure of what you've been sent to, don't sign up to it. Once you realise it's not list business, really you should close it. By putting your name and date of birth, since the subscription was made for the list email address, you've resubscribed the email used by the list. I'll try and take it off.
