Hi all
As you know, the English Wikipedia has already converted to Vector,
and the rest of the Wikipedias will be soon to follow, notably the
other 9 of the top 10 languages will be converting June 8 or 9 (in an
ideal world).
As per <http://usability.wikimedia.org/wiki/Releases/Default_Switch>,
we'll need some translation to happen--including the Release page [1]
and the feedback page[2]--which need to have a home on those language
wikis.
For translators who are not in the top ten langauges, fear not! Your
wiki will convert in the very near future, so it can't actually hurt
to have these pages done.
Also, if you want to volunteer to be an "Ambassador", i.e. someone who
is willing to bring local issues to the attention of the Foundation,
please feel free to add your name to that page.

Hello,
I think it would be good to have an open meeting (or a few) to discuss
the wider Wikimedia community, project governance, and recent issues
on Commons and Meta. Przykuta suggested an IRC meeting soon.
For those who are available, please join us in #wikimedia on
Wednesday, at 1900 UTC. (for those who dislike IRC, there's a link
For everyone, please add topics for discussion, and link to
discussions taking place elsewhere on the projects.
