Dear translators, MediaWiki administrators,
Today Andrew has committed a rewrite of the MediaWiki preferences system
that will be part of MediaWiki 1.15. In it 19 messages were introduced or
changed that need to be translated or updated in every supported language.
Of course translatewiki.net can be used to take a first peek at the new
functionality.
Please join the MediaWiki localisation projects at http://translatewiki.net
and keep your language's localisation updated.
Thank you for your efforts!

Because the Licensing update Q&A translations started quite a while
ago, some of them are a bit dated. This is especially problematic for
the section dealing with attribution, which was substantially revised
on March 18, 2009. If you created a translation before then, please
make sure that this section is up to date. The relevant diff is here:
http://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Licensing_update/Questions_and_…
This is the most critical change. The diff of all changes since then is here:
http://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Licensing_update/Questions_and_…
I consider this an appropriate and necessary update even though the
vote has started already; the [[licensing update]] page itself should
not be affected as we started translations when this question was
already resolved.
Thanks,
Erik

Hello,
While most of our translations for the licensing update are complete, a few
more lines of text for the voting software is yet to be translated: the
"header" text, and the text providing a link to the site (the "jump" text).
If we could get translations on that happening, it'd be hugely appreciated.
The page is here:

Thanks to everyone,
Josh (User:Anonymous Dissident)
Looks like we have more time. :-)

So, as per my earlier email, I am moving the launch date to both allow
for some more translations, and thorough testing of the voting
software.
To have enough buffer due to staff travel, I am suggesting April 9.
This will push the other milestones by a week as well.
Unless someone beats me to it, I will update the meta pages later tonight.

Okay, a few more pages are now available for translation.[1]
"Vote-specs", "Timeline", and another part of the interface are now
ready and could really use your translation skills. :-)
The first part of the vote interface has around 35 translations
already, great job! If you have any questions about any of the other
pages, please feel free to respond to this message or contact us in
another way[2].
