Hello translators!
Thank you all so much for your help over the last few months with the
Fundraiser translations. We understand that it's been a lot of work,
but you all continued to help and deal with all the issues. Your hard
work helped the Foundation reach its goal of US$7.5 million! The
Fundraiser would not have been as successful without your help.
We just have one final request, a letter from Jimmy Wales thanking all
the donors, users, and editors for helping make the fundraiser such a
success. If you wouldn't mind translating it, the workspace is on
Meta-Wiki.[1]
This letter will most likely go live on Monday (January 4, 2009), but
it may have to go live earlier depending on community feedback.
Just a reminder that we also have another translation request open for
the "supplementary messages"[2], that you could help translate as
well.
Thanks again for all your help so far! We're almost done with the
2009 Fundraiser. :-)

Dear translators,
MediaWiki is constantly in need of your help. In the MediaWiki repository we
do not only maintain MediaWiki with about 2,400 messages but we also have well
over 400 MediaWiki extensions, of which some 375 have over 8,000 translatable
messages.
As the end of this year is near, and we are getting ready for the next major
MediaWiki release (1.16), we once again call upon you for your help.
Please come to http://translatewiki.net, create a user account, request
translator rights and set your language in your preferences.
Then check your language code at
http://translatewiki.net/wiki/Special:LanguageStats to see where you can
contribute. Chances are that you can contribute a whole lot.
Thank you very much in advance for your help!
Siebrand Mazeland
Thanks for the reminder. I've just translated both into Kapampangan (pam).

Subject: Fwd: 2009 Annual Fundraiser Translation Request
Hey All--
Any help with the following translation requests would be appreciated;
we would love to possibly launch the Jimmy Appeal next week for the
Annual Fundraiser. ?In addition, I would love to be able to rotate and
change our existing Global banners to some of the new and successful
ones we've had success with in English...however, without translations,
it's tough.
The "Jimmy Appeal" has many prominent languages not yet translated:
http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Fundraising_2009/appeal
And many many languages not yet translated with the Supplementary messages:
http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Fundraising_2009/supplementary_messages
Thanks for any help you provide.

Hey translators,
It's been a while since the last message to this list -- we've been
busy getting all the core messages translations published and
reviewed. If you see an error in the translations, feel free to
update them on the core messages workspace[1] and then change the
status to "ready". If you see run into any other problems with the
live pages, leave a note on the launch feedback page[2].
We've started a new translation request[3] that includes:
* strings missed in the original "core messages" request,
* new strings, and
* new pages to translate.
We've tried to include links to the page names where the translations
will be placed to help give you context. If you run into any issues,
feel free to reply to this e-mail or leave a message on the talk
page[4].
Thanks for all your help!
Casey

Hi all,
One of our most important requests for the fundraiser (The appeal from
Jimmy), is now posted on Meta-Wiki[1] and ready to be translated.
Once again, thanks for all your hard work so far in translating these
messages for the 2009 Fundraiser! :-)
If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail the list.
