The Signpost recently dealt with its own situation of plagiarism. One reporter submitted an article that included many unique phrases and direct sentences from Wikipedia, The Free Encyclopedia that were not attributed. That article was not published and the reporter was fired, but it led to further review of the writer’s work. A previously published article by that reporter was discovered to have plagiarized from Wikipedia. Wikipedia has been notified of that occurrence. -
