Dear Jimmy Wales
Recently I noticed Wikipedia's publication of one work by the artist Ernst Barlach (Singing Man / Der singende Mann) in the internet under your address de.wikipedia.org. Unfortunately, it seems that our office has not received a request from you for the permission to publish this work.
I would like to draw your attention to the fact that our office holds the exclusive rights in the works by Ernst Barlach. This unauthorised publication constitutes a copyright infringement and we must ask you to remove the image immediately.
It says in the caption that a permission for taking this photo had been granted. That permission, however, does not include the right to use the image for publication in any kind of media (print/internet/database/CD-ROM or any other electronic means).
If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely yours Anja Maslankowski secretary
