Denk ich auch. Ich habe schon verschiedentlich Konten
für Vereine eröffnet.
Das ist ein grosser Aufwand bei der Bank, bei der Post gar ein riesiger,
zumal diejenigen, die unterschreiben müssten, Kassier (resp. Schatzmeister)
und Aktuar (resp. Schriftführer) oder Präsident (resp. 1. Vorsitzender) in
Deutschland sitzen. Ich denke auch, zur Zeit ist es am einfachsten, das Geld
zu sammeln und alles zusammen rüber zu schicken. Und auf längere Perspektive
wird es einfacher sein, einen Schweizer Verein zu gründen.
Ich werde meine "two cents" auf Englisch hinfügen, weil auf Deutsch
wird es ein bisschen kompliziert. Ich entschuldige mir dafür. Und
danke fur den, die es übersetzen werden.
As a matter of fact, the problem with change altogether is an
important one. The Wikimedia community is a large one, with people
from lots of different countries, with lots of different currencies.
Opening accounts in different currencies would be grand, because not
only would it allow people who pay not to have to pay any "bank fees",
but also allow the Foundation/Verein etc. not to have to change the
money into euros or dollars. Wikimania happens to be an excellent test
case for this, as we can see that on every transaction, we "lose"
money.
This said, I believe that each choice of country where we open an
account has to be carefully thought out, and examined, so that in the
end we open the accounts that benefit the most currencies (banks with
the least bank fees etc.).
In the long run, I sincerely hope that we can have many local chapters
with their own bank account, allowing as many people to participate in
fundraising and memberships in their local currency. This would
benefit both the donators and the Foundation.
