I want to keep registration open to new users, but allow login in their account only after the sysop/admin activates the account... sorry if I missed some simple setting. The problem you are having generally occurs because either you have a corrupted download of the plugin, or you have another extension that is doing this. I suspect that his problem might be that he's including LdapAuthentication.php before the <?php line in LocalSettings.php, and that there are some blank lines in it. Shorten Object/Client Cache time

Hello, For an extension I am creating, I need the object cache and client cache to only be valid for a certain amount of time, say, 15 minutes. How would I go about doing this? When the tag is parsed, I disable the client cache and add two member variables to the parserOutput object, "shortExpTime", which is set to the time it should expire and "shortCache" which is set to true (I know this is a hack, that's why I am looking for an easier way). Then, in ParserCache's get() function, if the shortCache is true and the current time is greater than the shortExpTime, I delete the object from the cache. This has broken action=purge somehow and I have no idea how to fix it. If there is an easier way anyone is aware of please let me know. Thanks, Greg

Hello, I' want to user userCan hook on every page, so I made an extension which then calls this hook. I don't really know much about this hook so I need some information. How can I prevent access to users who are not logged in? email authentication fails

Anybody there to solve this riddle that some of us posted about recently? An attempt to get my email address authenticated fails when I hit the send confirmation button: "Could not send confirmation mail. Check address for invalid characters." My address doesn't contain any invalid characters. Help would be much appreciated. Arnold

Hello, I'm running a own wiki for our documentation. With Versions 1.5.x and 1.6.x of Mediawiki-Software I had no Problems with configuring the Navigationbar on the left side, using Mediawiki:Sidebar. Upgrading our test-wiki I recognized that this doesn't work anymore with Version 1.7.1. I just see the default Navigationbar.
