Hello everyone,

I looks like applications for scholarships to attend this year's Wikimania will be opening up on the 17 February. These scholarships are paid for by the Wikimedia Foundation and not the Wikimedia ZA chapter. We strongly encourage people to apply for these scholarships so we have as many South Africans as possible attending Wikimania.

As you may know, Wikimania 2020, will happen on 5–9 August 2020 in Bangkok, Thailand. The *Wikimedia Foundation Scholarships Program* is offering a limited number of scholarships to cover the cost of selected individuals’ travel, conference registration fee, and accommodation to attend Wikimania using funding provided by the Wikimedia Foundation https://foundation.wikimedia.org/wiki/ (WMF).
