Good Day Chapter Members
Wikimedia South Africa is expectant in 2025 and believe that this will be a fruitful year for the chapter.
As I mentioned in the last notification for 2024 when we reflected on the good work done in 2024 it was important to rest and reset.
In the new year the chapter's focus will be on communication and engagement with our chapter members.
To this end we would like to invite all chapter members who have an idea of an activity or project they would like to pursue in 2025 to engage with the chapter.
If you are interested in engaging with the chapter around your needs please utilize the Google form below to capture of your idea or need.
The form will enable you to isolate projects or community needs you would like to explore in the 2025 year and will enable the Chapter to isolate methods to support you.
Some of the areas we will be able to support our chapter members are:
1. Mentorship
2. Language related support
3. Data related support
4. Workshop organization and facilitation
5. Initiatives aligning with our 5 year strategy

The form will be open from the 17 January 2025 to 21 February 2025, once closed we will review and engage with you around your application.

The Meetups will occur on Saturday the 22nd February 2025 between 10:30am and 12:30pm.
The February meetup will be special as we will be celebrating the 13th Anniversary of Wikimedia South Africa and the 24th Anniversary of Wikipedia.
There will be refreshments and entertainment.
We will be reflecting on our past year as well as our plans for the Chapter in 2025 and would love for you to participate.
