It seems like no one else from WMZA responded. I can arrange my day in such a way that I can attend the meeting, should it be held at 10:00. Or did you already decide on a specific time?
Kind regards
Lourie

Hello all
I replied on the email and mentioned that I will attend this Friday's meeting with government. The last few weeks I have been very busy with my test series, but luckily completed it on Thursday. What is the current progress regarding our plan to do WLM? I read through the emails to get updated, but I am afraid that I might have missed something. Maybe we can meet Friday before the meeting and discuss possible plans ahead? Our next steps are probably to start to do what is listed on this list Maarten sent out earlier:
* Applying for the domain name (wikilovesmonuments.org.za) -> WMZA
* Creating a mailing list for WLM (is this technically possible?) -> WMZA
* Making website (copy of the .be): Maarten
* Call for participation: Isla
* Concept document: Isla
* Asking for the lists of monuments: WMZA and Maarten during the next meeting with the Heritage organisation.
* Arranging the grant by the Foundation: Lourie and Maarten.
Kind regards
Lourie
Hello Dumisani
Your email got completely lost in the my inbox, and I have just found it today! The best place to start is to look at our page on Meta, which can be found here:
http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_South_Africa
On that page is also the link to our mailing list, so feel free to add yourself to stay up to date with our activities. I have also copied this email to that list. Welcome!
Kind regards
Lourie

Hey all,
last week Isla and I discussed some of the todo's. We made nice list and
put it on the dedicated Commons
page<http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wiki_Loves_Monuments_2012_in_Sout…>
.
Things to do in the short term (Isla and I note these down):
- applying for the domain name (wikilovesmonuments.org.za) -> WM SA
- creating a mailing list for WLM (is this technically possible?) -> WM
SA
- making website (copy of the .be): me
- call for participation: Isla
- concept document: Isla
- asking for the lists of monuments: WM SA and me during the next
meeting with the Heritage organisation
- arranging the grant by the Foundation: Lourie and me
Regards,
Maarten

Hello Isla
I hope it is going well on your side. Is there any development with the discussions regarding the WLM? How is the action plan going? I am currently in a test series, so I might take a little longer than normal to reply on emails. I have also copied Asaf from the WMF on this email. While in Berlin we discussed the WLM competition and they are very happy that the future for this competition looks so good here in ZA. I also told him about the idea to train the people from the museums. He quite liked the idea, and said that the WMF will even be willing to send someone to the museums conference to talk to the participators.
@Asaf: Maybe you and Isla can talk a bit further about this idea? I would also like to be part of this event, so please copy me on the emails. :)
Kind regards
Lourie
I've posted an update on the state of the African language Wikipedias:
http://www.greenman.co.za/blog/?p=953
Been some positive progress, although Xhosa in particular is
disappointing after the three workshops.
