Hello,
I am having trouble installing the extension HALO ACL 1.2 on my 1.15.5. Follow
the step by step installation manual but to go to Pages and click on
Specials HaloAcl the page appears blank no nothing.
I no longer know what must be done to make this extension work.
Note: Do not know how to install SMW ...
Help me please!
Waiting in the wings.

There might be more rewrite rules you forgot about: check for hidden
.htaccess files in the wiki directory or the directory above it. You
might also have some goofy settings left in LocalSettings.php (check
$wgScriptPath and $wgArticlePath). For setting up a new URL system:

Hello guys,
I'm working with the new editor from Usability extension. Tough I miss
some extra buttons that insert some code snippets that I'd like to
include. How can I do this?
Is there any documentation about this?
Thank you in advance.
robert
Hello guys,
I'm using the editor from the UsabilityInitiative but whenever I
insert some text with special formatting the formatting itself gets
lost and the text will be placed alltogether in one line.
Some example on this code:
/**
* [FooBar] skin
*
* @file
* @ingroup Skins
* @version [#].[#].[#]
* @author [name] ([URL] / [E-Mail])
* @license [URL] [name]
*/
Now try to insert it in my wiki:
http://wiki.ziesche.de/w/index.php?title=Hauptseite&action=edit (but
please don't save it, it's just for testing purposes)
And then how it should be on Wikipedia:
http://de.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Am_Brunnen_vor_dem_Tore&action=ed…
What could be the reason for this behaviour?

Hi,
until I made an upgrade from 1.15.1 (applied the 15.2,3 and 4 patches) I
was happily editing my wiki pages with gnu emacs via ee.pl
and a bookmarklet that goes:
javascript:location=location+'?action=edit&externaledit=true';
(http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:External_editors)
Now, external editing is broken I and I suspect that this is related to
(bug 23076)
Fixed login CSRF vulnerability. Logins now require a token to be
submitted along with the user name and password. Patch by Roan Kattouw.
Any ideas on what I could/should do to get TRUE external editing back ?
I don't mind installing stuff. I am not much of a programmer/sysadmin,
but I can read :)
I don't want to use something like "It's all text" since it's not
practical to edit several wiki pages at the same time and having
to keep several browser tabs open just for saving. (I do this at home
on a windows box and it's a pain).
- thanx for any help / insight ! - Daniel
PS: Of course I am not sure about the cause, but in my case
identification of the problem (upgrading) is really simple. I got two
wikis on the same machine:
The 1.15.4 one (http://edutechwiki.unige.ch/en/) is broken and the
1.15.1 one (http://edutechwiki.unige.ch/fr/) works just fine.
Hello,
I've looked at the archive some, but I couldn't find an answer to me issues,
so forgive me, I'm new here.
I've just installed version 1.16 and I'm getting some strange results. I
suspect they may be related, but I'm unsure how or where I should look.
First issue, there is no theme (skin) being applied to my wiki. It's just a
basic white page with text and links down the left side. You can see the
test install I did at <wiki.mmj-ent.com>. Having installed version 1.15 I
know this isn't right.
Second issue, I get this error when I click on the Special Pages link. "*Fatal
error*: Class 'SpecialRandomredirect' not found in *
/path/on/my/server/wiki/includes/SpecialPage.php* on line *390"*
To me it seems that a path may be defined incorrectly, but as I look at the
LocalSettings.php file everything looks okay, and the path in the error is
correct.
I'm also getting these results on two installs I've done, my test wiki that
I posted above, and another domain I run <PBMGamer.com> where I've been
trying to get a wiki going. You won't find a link to the wiki there yet
because it's not live.
Any thoughts?

Hello,
I have a wiki that no longer has the Move functionality working.
When you click the *Move page* button, it just reloads the page; it was
working a couple of weeks ago.
Thanks,

Hello guys,
I have some questions to Quiz extension.
(http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Quiz)
1.
When I fill out an input field - e.g. the answer to number one
(http://en.wikiversity.org/wiki/Help:Quiz#Typed_response_.28short_answer.29)
and then submit via return - my answer is not only filled in into this
field, but also into another (the first one?) field of a completely
different quiz below - see here
http://en.wikiversity.org/wiki/Help:Quiz#Gapfill_.2F_cloze.
Can anyone tell me why this happens?
2.
How can I remove the message "Your score is 0 / 3"? It would be great
if it wouldn't show up with quiz-simple.
3.
How can I increase the size of the input fields quiz uses for some exercises?
That's it. Thank you guys.
robert
