I installed a new wiki in my site. During installation i got this
warning "Warning: A value for session.save_path has not been set in PHP.ini.
If the default value causes problems with saving session data, set it to a
valid path which is read/write/execute for the user your web server is
running under."
After I changed preferred language wiki doesn't work and always this error
appears "Call to undefined method Language::localisationexist()"
Hello Everyone,
I'm working on converting an old Ruby driven wiki that uses textile markup
to mediawiki. I'm getting hung up on the process of importing the data into
the database for mediawiki.
Right now I have about 300 .html files that need to become wiki pages. The
wiki page name would be the name of the html file. Can anyone shed some
light on where to look for either a script that does something similer, or
even some assistance on where and how the text within the mediawiki db is
stored.

Hi,
I am having some problems with e-mail notifications and password reminders.
How - and where - do I set a "reply-to" address in the wiki?
Thanks,
Alain
I think the problem is rather that the script is not okay.
First it is obvious that at mediawiki the script has no results (no extra buttons shown). That's strange because you would think there should be a working script!
http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Editpage.js
This is the script I used. I altered like I wrote the destination of the buttons itself and placed them on my site (of course some I made myself).
This line should also puzzles me:
{'imageFile': 'http://upload.wikimedia.org/' + img,
Shouldn't it be to my own site (I tried but am not sure what the url should be)
And I think it is connected with the urls of the buttons?
If you read it (I'm to too technical, and can read only the basic) this is strange:
This file is uploaded:
importScript('MediaWiki:Scripts/Edittools1.js').
1. there is no such script
2. "Scripts/" looks strange to me
3. there is a 'MediaWiki:Edittools.js' but uploading (and correcting the script) had no effect.
http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Edittools.js
Then I noticed this:
loadCommonsEdittoos - twice
No "l" there: loadCommonsEdittools
But no effect here either (nor in combination of above). Nor using it together with the button links in the script.

A question I'm sure that has been asked multiple times, though how do I
install all the Help: pages? I want to grab all the ones from wikipedia....
Thanks,
Josh
Bonjour,
http://localhost.index.php. En fait, je n'accede a aucun ".php".
Pourriez vous m'aider SVP.
Merci!
Selma.
On an article's history page, there are "undo" links next to every single
revision. However, clickubg some of the undo links displays:
"The edit could not be undone due to conflicting intermediate edits."
Two questions:
1. What is the precise rule for when an undo can/cannot be done? When
there have been two edits to the same line? Two edits by two different
authors to the same line? Etc...?
2. Why does MediaWiki display an undo link next to a revision when the
operation is not possible? Is it because it's too expensive to check the
"undo status" of every revision when rendering the history page?
Thanks.

Do these settings in the Special:Preferences "Edit" tab actually work?
- Columns
- Edit box has full width
No matter how I set them, the edit box stretches the full width of the
browser window. Are they obsolete? This is in 1.12.0 and 1.13 alpha.
Thanks.

Hi All,
I'hv a strange problem with my MW 1.11. I have a test version on my
local Windows machine and the live one on a linux server (intranet). I
don't know when this problem started coming-not sure whether it has been
there since beginning or it started after some changes.
When I search with SOME keywords, my production wiki returns a "blank"
page. If I use the same words on the test wiki, no probs-results are
returned (content in both wikis are same). Some of the problematic words
are "transaction" (transaction backout has no problem), function, cards
(plastic cards is fine), account etc. I tried to reproduce the problem
in the test wiki by copying SearchEngine.php,
SearchMySQL.php,SearchMySQL4.php,SpecialSearch.php files from live wiki
to my test wiki- but the test wiki still runs fine.
Any idea for the possible cause and solutions?

Jack Eapen C
