Hi Dumi
Thank you for getting involved in this side of it. You are a force of
nature. I like you plan, but do disagree.
I currently have ten facebook pages under my management. The majority of the
pages are community pages. As is the one that I created for WikiLoves
Monuments. That timeline thing is now for both organisations/communities, as
well as personal pages. It is the way that Facebook has decided to go.
I do think that WMZA and WLM should each have their own page. This allows us
to link them together, but also to have multiple events listed during the
WLM month, and not just the one. It also allows multiple people to talk
about their uploads via Facebook and Twitter.
I know the marketing plan is next. I will try to get this to you before
Wikimania.
Let me know what you think. I have made you admins so you can change and add
what you want onto the WLM page.
Warmest
Isla

Sounds like a good plan, I don't have problems with it. Just confirm with
Isla, as she is currently handling the social media stuff.

Subject: Facebook Page
Hi Lourie
I saw the facebook page for WLM. I dont think it is set up correctly as it is
made like a user page. I suggest the following:
I can create a group or an Organization page for Wikimedia-ZA. Then I can set
you and anyone else necessary as Administrators. The advantage of this is that
we will be able to post chapter events and be able to follow up with other
discussions effeciently. This set upalso gives you weekly statistics of users
who like us and will tell us who is viewing our pages and how often. They
offer an advertising e-card for a sum, but we can look at that later.
Once this is done, we can then set up a Wiki Loves monument as an event and
then we will be able to invite people to participate directly.
I will go ahead and set it up. Then we will have to get the existing user page
deleted.
Regards
Dumisani
