Hello everyone,

The 19th South African Wikipedia meetup https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Meetup/South_Africa/South_Africa_19 will be happening from 10:00 to 12:00 this Saturday (25 June). It will happen on our Discord channel https://discord.gg/HwBwHWWurr.

An important issue I want to talk about with people joining us then is Wikimania https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimania_2022 which will happen online from 12-14 August. More specifically hosting a local face-to-face mini Wikimania conference in Cape Town and Johannesburg that links up with the digitally held international event. For Cape Town it currently looks like the University of Cape Town will have a venue for us. It will be a nice opportunity to do an in person Wikipedia event following COVID. It will also
