Just to clarify - as can be seen from another thread, I know how to
make a button prepend * or #. I'd like for the button to put the li
tags on every line of a multiline selection. Looking at the code in
wikibits.js for how the custom buttons work, it looks like that isn't
possible via mwCustomEditButtons, since pulling the selection is done in
function insertTags(tagOpen, tagClose, sampleText) {
Am I reading things correctly? If so, then it seems like wikibits.js
could be modified so that insertTags could take some additional
parameters to do other things to a block of selected text. With my
limited understanding of JavaScript, I don't know ... can one
overload a function in wikibits.js by writing a new version into
common.js? My initial attempts to try this didn't work, but I may
have been doing it wrong.
