I have been cleaning up videos that are not used by deleting the page
created when the asset is uploaded, using the Delete button at the
top, when logged in as WikiSysop.
I notice the images/archive folder is over 1 GB in size.
These are the files which were "overwritten" by a new upload, ie. the
file history. Deleted files are not saved (unless you specifically
configured it to do so, and i doubt it was available for 1.5).
Can I safely delete everything inside it, just leaving
the empty archive folder?
I depends what you want...
We have a large hard drive, but create a new image
every week for
backup, and it would save time.
Do incremental backups. Once a file goes into the
archive, it won't
change (well, if disappears if you delete the image page).
