Sorry. My last post got slightly garbled...still new to using this mailing list, so here's my message again: I was curious if there is a way to take a bullet pointed list of internal wiki links to other articles (whether they contain content or not) on a single page and have them automatically categorized to the category to same name as the article page. For example, I have the article page "Snow", and I want to add a list of subtopics on the article page "Snow" to the category "Snow", with subtopics being: (bulletpoint one)Flurries (bulletpoint two) Hail (bulletpoint three) Sleet My question is if there is a template, extension, or wiki parser expressions I should use to make all items on a bullet pointed list be autocategorized in the category with the same name as the article page. If anyone has any ideas or knows what I need, any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I've asked this question on the MediaWiki users forums and at the support desk at MediaWiki.org and came up dry for answers in both places, so I'm reposting the same question to the mailing list here in hopes of an answer: I was curious if there is a way to take a bullet pointed list of internal wiki links to other articles (whether they contain content or not) on a single page and have them automatically categorized to the category to same name as the article page. DPL redux?

Hi, I recall seeing a conversation on this list recently about the supposed security risk with the DPL extension. Did we ever bottom out to a conclusion on that? I wanted to install this extension, but the security warnings on the page on the main mediawiki site scared me off installing it, particularly since my browser warned me of content on the DPL home page site when I examined it. https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/25170/ is a MediaWiki change that's under discussion right now; it would completely remove all core skins other than Monobook, Modern, CologneBlue & Vector. I thought you might be interested in reading or weighing in on this discussion. Hello, How does MediaWiki handle "duplicates"? For example, there are two programmers and they have identical names (e.g. John Doe). I'd like to know how this will be represented in URIs and stored in a database.

Hello everyone, I was careless enough to run a MediaWiki installation allowing people to sign up without a moderator's approval. Hence a few hundred of them did sign up and started to use the site to swap images. How can I delete their accounts in the most expeditious way? Thanks. Boris.

CAS Authentication problem

We're using MediaWiki 1.19 (latest version) and we've integrated CAS Authentication (http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:CASAuthentication) to enable Single Sign On over our systems. There are 2 problems here: If we use Chrome browser, we can successfully use Single Sign On feature. if we use Firefox, Internet Explorer, If we're logged in in mediawiki (using CAS), we still have to log in again on other service (NOT SINGLE SIGN ON), but if firstly we logged in on other services, then mediawiki automatically single sign on. I don't know if it's whether error from mediawiki or browser ? Thank you for reading.

Dzień dobry, chciałem zapytać o możliwość ukrycia zakładki wyświeltanie historii ale tylko dla niezalogowanych użytkowników, czy to jest możliwe? Mam wersje MediaWiki 1.19.2; PHP 5.3.10-1ubuntu3.4 (apache2handler); MySQL 5.5.24-0ubuntu0.12.04.1 Dziękuję za pomoc.Pozdrawiam! Marek Strózik
