On http://radioscanningtw.wikia.com/wiki/Special:Allpages do you see
the page台描:頻率間隔 ?
Well, this is a rare case of a page that was created with a prefix that
would later match NS_PROJECT.
I.e., not waiting for them to change $wgSitename first, I created that
page as if it was already in that namespace anyway.
Now no matter how much I delete it, I can't get it out of
Special:Allpages.
So I suppose I should ask them to change $wgSitename to something
else, create, then delete the page, then change $wgSitename back?
Then later I can recreate the page so that it only will appear in
Special:Allpages/Project:, instead of both namespaces.
Is that how one deals with pages like this?
Hi,
can someone come up with a Perl-like regular expression for wiki
tables?
I just want to throw away all wiki tables in a given string (e.g. a
page).
Haven't been successfull so far..
Thanks a lot,
matsch

Good afternoon.
My name is Leandro and I am using MediaWiki for the first time. The
instalation was very peaceful and successful.
I am encountering problems in the administration of users x groups of the
system. Using the option Special: Userrights I managed to create new groups.
There are some extensions to facilitate the display/administration?
It is possible to have support in Portuguese? If some using Brazil level
will be able to help to mine msn is: lsouza_rj(a)hotmail.com

Hello,
I am trying to update my mediawiki 1.10.2 in 1.15.3.
I just try to put my Database in the newinstallation but i have this error :
« LocalFile::loadFromDB ». MySQL a renvoyé l’erreur « 1054 : Unknown column
'img_sha1' in 'field list' (localhost) ».
Can you help me to upgrade please ?
Thanks you.
If there's a hook there then sure somebody can write
an extension. Not a bad place for a hook really, people
should be able to add their own stats to the table.

Maybe a extension for the wikifactor stuff that hooks into stats page
without editing the code?

Dear MediaWiki developers, I am wondering if it is possible to
add the value of the wikiFactor for a MediaWiki site to
the Special:Statistics page?
Unfortunately I have no php programming experience,
so I am unable to suggest a modification myself, although I suspect
that a simple do-wile loop with the correct parameters would suffice.
=Background=
The wikiFactor is a measure of the interest that a wiki site has received.
For details see the paper: http://arxiv.org/abs/0902.3439
Its calculation is rather simple; one visits (for MediaWiki)
the Special:PopularPages page. The wikiFactor (wF) is the page
that has had more than 1000 x wF views.
For example: here is an extract from a Special:Statistics page,
the wikiFactor is 7:
6 Models (10,455 views)
7 Hard sphere model (10,447 views)
8 Computer simulation techniques (7,728 views)
9 Classical thermodynamics (7,621 views)
i.e. page 7 has had more than 7,000 views, whilst page 8 has yet to reach
8,000
views.
Presently the wikiFactor is being rolled-out on the wikiIndex site,
a compendium of over 4,000 wiki sites.
see:
http://www.wikiindex.org/Category:WikiFactor
All the best,
carl

I'll add my "ya, hey!" to that request!
But perhaps the best way would be client-side, with javascript. It
seems it might otherwise present a caching challenge to the server.

Everyday is an oppurtinity to make a new happy ending :)
Yahoo mail has a great feature of Notepad which I like. Is it possible to have a private notepad extension where I can save stuff right there on the wiki? Maybe a User/notepad thing where only the user can see and edit that page. Any easy way of doing this?
