Thanks for the reply Fred. I tried searching around the getwiki forms and
site, but could not find anything on implementing it. Can you direct me to
page that has the info?
Thanks.

Ok, so I got everything running yesterday. But I have no idea to make
myself a sysop. I created a regular user account but I don't have all the
admin cp goodies.
Someone please tell me where to go to administer things.
Thanks

I have MW running on a Mac and it only took about 5 minutes to get it running, perfectly.
Are you running MW1.7 - did you install PHP5? That might be a silly question. I don't know what would happen if you tried to run MW 1.7 with PHP4. would it run but oddly, or would it not work at all.
Interesting - I have loaded PHP5 onto the Mac, but, seems Apache Server keeps turing PHP4 on. What effect this is going to have on MW 1.7, I don't know. I have to track that down.
I run MW 1.6.~ page names with spaces get changed to include an underscore - so a wiki page named foo bar would become foo_bar and need to be referenced as [[foo_bar]], but, still displayed as foo bar.
Not sure if that is helpful - could point you in a direction.

Thanks for this link Gunter,
I've seen it ...
But, I'd like to know how to protect only ONE page or a GROUP of page
across the WiKi.
I've seen an extension "PageProtection" and I've tried it without
success ...

Is there an easier way to get the match formulas to work if I don't have
access to install latext, etc. on my server?
Thanks.

I'm embarking on a project at work, using MediaWiki, and one of the
things that would make it far more useful would be LiquidThreads, so I'm
wondering, what stage is that at? Should I be holding off on installing
for a few weeks while it's tested, or should I plan on a major upgrade
in a few months or so? Or is it even further out on the horizon/stalled?

Hi,
at (german) wikipedia you can find the variables like {{LOCALHOUR}} which is
used in templates like "Date display".
See at german wikipedia .
But on the local wiki these variables are missing.
How can i add them to display the local time and not UTC-time?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Yusuf,
I'm pretty sure one can use LaTeXMathML (
http://www.maths.nottingham.ac.uk/personal/drw/lm.html)in
MediaWiki.
And all you need is just include the javascript in the header.
Not checked that though. If you will please let me know!

Use %20 in stead of space (percent two zero) in the URL

Sorry, shouldn't shoot my mouth off too soon.
You should probably use an underscore (_)
