Hi,
I have a wiki setup for a collaborative software project. The wiki is
used as a discussion board for the project. Is there a way to
integrate the CVS tree for the software in the wiki? What I have in
mind are pages for each of the files in the project where the
developers can make comments about the code. Is this possible? Is
there a way to include the contents of external files in a wiki page
so the code can be updated when the CVS tree is updated?
Thanks for your help.
Cheer,
Julius Lucks
Hi all,
My extension shouts this warning:
Warning: Problem with method call - please report this bug in
/home/f/fxparlant/www/mediawiki/extensions/Calendar.php on line 135
After some mixing up, this seem to be the line at the source of the warning:
$nt = Title::makeTitle( $row->page_namespace, $row->page_title );
Should I have declared something special in the extension to get it
working ?
Thanks for your help,
François
Hello.
I use MW 1.5.6
My template AAA contains only:
== {{{1}}} {{{2}}} {{{3}}} ==
{{{4}}}<br/>
{{{5}}}
After using {{AAA|1|2|3|[http://com.com]|5}} I got right answer, but after
{{AAA|1|2|3|[http://com.com?action=edit&action=talk wwwwww]|5}} got:
== 1 2 3 ==
5<br/>
{{{5}}}
Why I wrong? What should I use for getting:
== 1 2 3 ==
[http://com.com?action=edit&action=talk wwwwww]<br/>
5
?

Thanks again...
Well, I'll upgrade first.
How do I upgrade - just run over all of the files? (overwrite) or should I
do something special? (- no documentation at media-wiki's site...)
When I say a clean server, I actually mean that no wiki was installed on my
space on the server... the server is not mine - it's on some third-party
hosting service (as I said before - called LunarPages)
I have no idea how exactly the PHP is configured, but as far as I know the
installation worked just fine (I was using an FTP software to upload the
files).
That's it for now, if you have any recommendations about upgrading, I'll be
happy, thanks.
Peleg.

1.5.5 is a version behind; the current release is 1.5.6, released January
19.

When you say it's "a clean server", what does this mean?
Did you install Linux yourself on it, and know exactly how PHP is
configured? Do you run it yourself, or is it an account on some third-party
hosting service?
Are you familiar with its configuration? What's PHP's include_path set to?
Is the override in MediaWiki's config failing? Might it be loading some
other file for this? Have you checked to confirm that the files were all
uploaded correctly?

The URL: arkana.freeall.org/arkanapedia
It's in Hebrew...
The version of MediaWiki is the latest. I downloaded it this week. 1.5.5, I
think.
Version of PHP - 4.4.1 (according to control panel of the host)
MySQL version - 4.0.25-standard
Apache version - 1.3.34 (Unix)
Operating system Linux
Kernel version 2.4.21-27.0.4.ELsmp
Machine Type i686
PERL version 5.8.4
It's been installed for about a week,
I've done it through the automatic configuration - Uploaded it through FTP,
ran the appropriate file, checked Hebrew and that's about all of it.
It never worked OK.
Now, it finally saves the pages, but only after that message that keeps
coming.
I haven't done any customizations except editing some pages and changing the
logo link at LocalSettings.php
That's about it...
Nothing of what you said doesn't sound right, except from "something
broken"...
Because - I haven't changed any code, and couldn't be any mix cause the
installation is completely new, on a clean server...
Well, Thanks for anything!
Peleg.

You still haven't provided basic background information such as:
* the URL to your site
* version of MediaWiki
* version of PHP
* version of anything else
* how long it's been installed
* how you installed
* whether it worked before and stopped working, or never worked
* if you've made any customizations to the configuration

The SearchUpdate class is defined in SearchUpdate.php, which is included
from
UpdateClasses.php, which is included from GlobalSettings.php, which is
included
long before this code is reached.
So, this shouldn't be possible unless:
* Something's broken
* The code was altered
* There's a bad mix of files from different versions, etc

Hii all ,
We have developed a web mapping application . And would like to integrate it with MediaWiki . Our mapping application uses MapServer,Php/Mapscript , as the scripting language and MySql as the database. Our application accepts user clicks on the image provided by us .And points are plotted .We have developed a Php file to accomplish this. Could anybody tell us how to interface our application with Mediawiki so as to contribute to Mediawiki. Any help would be appreciated . Will our php file be interfaced as a Special Page / Extension - HELP ?

Beware of script injection hacks. If you do this on pages that are
open to arbitrary editing, some trickster could possibly delete any
file that your web server effective user ID has permission to delete,
or cause no end of other trouble.

Thanks,
I'll try again:
I hope the symptom is clear: I have a problem editing any of my wiki
pages... it's a whole new wiki engine, and whenever I try to save a page I
get this message:
" Fatal error: Cannot instantiate non-existent class: searchupdate in
/home/freeall2/public_html/arkana/arkanapedia/includes/Article.php on line
2122"
The server is Apache, It's on a host (named: Lunarpages).
I haven't tried to do any research till now, because I don't even know where
to start...
I believe the line 2122 is: "$u = new SearchUpdate( $id, $title, $text );"
And it is in the middle of the paragraph:
if ( 0 != $id ) {
$u = new LinksUpdate( $id, $title );
array_push( $wgDeferredUpdateList, $u );
$u = new SiteStatsUpdate( 0, 1,
$this->mGoodAdjustment, $this->mTotalAdjustment );
array_push( $wgDeferredUpdateList, $u );
$u = new SearchUpdate( $id, $title, $text );
array_push( $wgDeferredUpdateList, $u );
Well, I'm sorry I don't really know anything about it, but it's for
non-profit purposes, so I'll be very happy if anyone could help.
And again - Thanks ahead!
I have a wiki setup to archive text documents. I've got my importing
scripts working well but I need a way to export out the raw article text
and feed it to a shell script. It can be fed to it on standard input or
saved to a temporary file and the file name passed as an argument. What
I would eventually like to do is use a template to create a link to the
special page to easily feed it the page name to be processed. My PHP
programming experience is a little limited. Could someone help me at
least get a working framework? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
