hi,
is there a possibility to include a <style> tag so it does not get
"reformatted"? or have something like a "rawhtml" tag, where the
contents does not get touched?
use case:
format tables via a {{mytabletemplate}}, and define styles for
<table>, <tr>, <td> to avoid repeating them all the time.

Hi, I have modified the editpage.php to present different things when
you edit (screen 1-->screen 2-->screen 3).
I've not "chained" between themselves: the problem is that it seems
that when I submit, doesn't know it: using wgout to see state of vars
I see always the formtype is initial (before I did this
"multiple-edit", it went well; maybe it's impossible this
"multiple-edit").
I am looking for a debugger for php and so see what's going on, but I
don't know any (I will try gubed). Hoewever, if you know multiple edit
(that is, the editpage.php shows things depending of
$current_screen...and by the way, the value is not modified also, so
it's the form and the vars, just seems that the recall to edit doesn't
remember the globals)
In short:
does editpage.php remember global values when call again to editform()?
Lot of thanks!
Jordi

What should be changed in mysql config in order not to bump in limitation.
Thank in advance.

Hi,
A bit ashamed to ask an obvious question : how do I enable file upload,
so that I can add images to my wiki ?
upload is disabled by default, I did not find anywhere how to enable it...
booo, that's a lame question...

Hi!
I recently updatet MediaWiki from 1.3.9 to 1.4.4. I copied all old
tables via phpAdmin ("copy structures and data") and installed the new
wiki normally using the new tables. The wiki works, but Firefox (1.3.9)
shows incorrect (old) pages. When I edit a page, I only see the old
content, even after reloading the page. Only clearing the chache or
restarting Firefox helps. Sometimes also the skin changes to a plain
version. With Opera (7.54) everything works fine.
LocalSettings.php:
$wgScriptPath = "";
$wgScript = "$wgScriptPath/index.php";
$wgRedirectScript = "$wgScriptPath/redirect.php";
What's wrong?
greetings

hi,
i made a softlink to the mediawiki directory, with 1.4rc1 it works,
and with 1.4.4 it says:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: initencoding() in
/home/wiki/fr.wiki/includes/Setup.php on line 288
when going to the main page. what could be the cause for that? whatfor
is the "require_once( "$IP/languages/Language.php" );", or how do you
expect to link it together?

Hi,
Can anybody tell me how to add images to the mediawiki?
I have enabled the upload files and used syntax like this:
[[Image:logo.jpg]], where logo.jpg is stored in /mediawiki/images
Still I'm not getting the image.
Can anybody tell me how to configure images?
Please its urgent!
Regards
Vijay

hi,
i am trying to use mediawiki for an internal collaborative project
that is open only to a small group. as such, i want the files that
are uploaded to have the same access as the rest of the wiki
(writable and readable only via logins). unfortunately, the uploaded
files are served via the direct url, which means that they do not
obey the access control of the rest of the wiki.
how do i configure the wiki so that uploaded files have the same
access control as the wiki articles?
thanks in advance for your reply,
