Hello,
I've got a fresh installation of MediaWiki 1.4-Something ready and I'd like use
a MySQL table of userdata with this installation.
Could you please provide some pointers where I'd have to look in the source to
make MediaWiki read/write userdata (with that I mean things like password,
username etc.) from the table using my table's structure?
Thanks in advance,
Feantur

I've encountered a strange occurence of Special:Userlogin on the
Wantedpages list of our wiki :
http://www.crewscut.com/index.php?title=Special:Wantedpages
Can anyone give a pointer as to why this link appears on the list and
how to fix it? Links to the page internally are only pointers for new
users to the login page, and is probably used on some pages for this
purpose. If this is a bug, is it patched up the latest beta (haven't
installed it yet, but will shortly).
Yours,
Morten :-)

Hi all,
I'm trying to achieve this since last couple of days but no luck so
far. I had modified the css (stylesheets) files and templates file. I
was able to see image but entire look and feel of wiki gets changed.
Is any way out to change it?
Or do I need to modify the file which generates the code? I tried the
.pt (template) file but it generates more error then the ever :(
I tried both 1.3.x and 1.4beta
Any helps is appreciated

Anyone know of a way to be able to refresh the link tables from a web
based interface? I don't have shell access to my site.

Hello,
I have run into some odd problems in the past few hours.
I run a wiki at http://www.eng.uwaterloo.ca/~syde08/wiki
As you can see, it is not displaying the Monobook template properly.
This problem occurred after my server admin upgraded their PHP and
MySQL services. The odd thing is that the Cologne Blue, Classic and
Nostalgia skins all work, but I don't even get the option to switch to
Monobook when I go to my user preferences. Can someone shed some light
on what is happening? I will try to provide whatever more information
you need.
Thanks,

hi,
i was looking for an option to turn off case sensitive linking, cause
Building and building and BuilDing should be the same in
our wiki. does this exist?
-solo.
I've made some changes to xhtml_slim.pt -- in particular I want to add a
right-hand-side column to the page with links to other material.
Right now, it seems like none of my edits to xhtml_slim.pt have any
effect, even after restarting apache.
What do I need to do to tweak the page layout? Is it necessary to
restart apache or can I just save the file?
I'm using 1.3.9 on a linux machine running apache2.
TIA
Hello, I hope this is the correct list for wiki syntax problems:
I have written a template for typesetting command-lines: Template:Cmd
<font style="some_fancy_css_stuff">{}</font>
This script does not work for
Any help?
Thanks,
Daniel
ok, have made some progress in reverse-engineering all this stuff...now
a simple question.
When the sysop doesn't have an email address, how can you reset the
password? running mediawiki 1.3.1...
