In the interim you may want to check out the section "Images linking to a
page" in http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Redirect
also http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Navigable_images
I bumped into this issue myself as well.
Best Regards,
JT
I want to know what my visitors are searching for. What file is the search engine in, what variable contains the search string, and where can I place a simple insert query to my own table to capture the search string, ideally both go and search?
Thanks

I'm interested in commissioning a code modification that would do the
following... payment would be a donation to the Mediawiki team or to an
individual...
Currently you can embed an internal wiki image in a page, such as:
However, the URL when cliking on this image is pre-determined and cannot
be changed. The hyperlink will always show the image information page.
Something along the following would be ideal for our purposes:
[[Image:imagename.jpg|90px|url:http://www.destinationurl.com/destinationfile.…]]
Which would embed the image like normal, follow the normal wiki syntax,
but bring you to a different destination URL, should someone click on
the image.
Please contact me off list if possible.

So I am trying to move my mediawiki installation from one server to
another on my hosting company. Right now it is at invariant.org/media
and I am trying to move it to wikirpg.com/wiki
Anyway, I've copied the database and reinstalled the wiki and all the
text and everything is there but all the UI bells and whistles are
gone. Everything is back to being just plain text. I imagine this is
because I am missing some required component on the new server that
was on the old server, however, I can't figure out what this might be.
Anyone know what I might be missing that causes this lack of UI. If
my description is unclear feel free to check out how it looks yourself
(www.wikirpg.com/wiki just don't actually use the wiki as it will be
replaced by the real db backup again).
Thanks
Peter

this happens when selecting a link or when clicking preview or save
page. Sometimes backing up and repeating the click works but sometimes
it fails in the same way a dozen times or more.
