Hi,
I've create a table at http://www.expath.org/wiki/Engines, and I would like to use Wikipedia-like cell features, like for instance the green and red cells for yes and no in:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_issue_tracking_systems
I've tried to use the same syntax (using {{yes}}) but that does not work. The string "Template: Yes" is displayed in red instead.
I guess I must install some templates? I looked for into both Mediawiki and Wikipedia sites, but I did not find anything. Any clue?
Thanks in advance, regards,
Have a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Yes - that should answer your questions - especially if you view the source.

Thanks, Sam. If I am right, I have to create the page Template:Yes on my own wiki. If I go to that page, mediawiki proposes to create the page, like any regular page. Though on Wikipedia the label of the first tab is "template".
Do I have to "activate" the template namespace in any way?
Also, to install several templates listed on the above Wikipedia page, do I have to create all templates by hand, one by one, or is there any kind of install process?
Thank you,
Florent,
No, you don't have to do anything with the Template namespace - just paste the definition from the Wikipedia source - the following is sufficient:
style="background:#90ff90; color:black;" class="table-yes" | {{{1|Yes}}}
I suggest you look at http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Templates as these are a very powerful and easy way to make editing easier and source pages more elegant and less cluttered. Note that you can also include templates from other locations by including the path in the call to the template.
Cheers,
/Sam
