Hello, I want to Create a section on my website that use MediaWiki, that allow only the User who created the page (any User who choose to submit a page in that application) and SysOp to be able to edit it,
Is there a way to do that with the current Code.
I assume it will be a Namespace that allow anyone to create articles, but after that only them will have the right to Edit them (of course the SysOp too)
Thanks
Laith
anyone tried similar approach for that?
I appreciate your responses,
thanks a lot

Right now, there's no concept of "owner" for a page, and no way to tie edits to one person for a page.
thanks a lot , george,
Is there any other product that can be tied with MEDIAWIKI that offer this feature and can use the same MEDIAWIKI User table ?

I am not sure MediaWiki is the right tool for you, if those are your requirements.
Have you looked at Twiki or other wiki software in depth, to evaluate and compare features?
not really, am a recent convert from a .NET enviornment that, I was looking for wiki application to get my website up and after comparing, MEDIAWIKI was a clear choice with all the extensions and the usefulness of lit like this, I did not expect to write things in it, but any advice here can help alot, i did learn a lot from reading this mailinglist and started tweaking things.
what i intened to do is still under the MEDIAWIKI features, I just planed to have sort of Blog feature for the users of the wiki so when you visit the User page you can see Articles written by the User.
I will take a lok at the one suggested.
I trully appreciate your help and response.

Maybe one of the page protection extensions could do what you need.
