Hello all, and thanks for your help!
A question about signing with "~~~":
In my preferences page, I can choose to edit my sign-up by myself. Well, the problem is that when I insert a template inside the signing-text, it becomes immediately a "SUBST" template. i.e. - when I use the template {{CURRENTDAY}} it suddenly becomes {{SUBST:CURRENTDAY}} when I save the preferences page. If I want my signing to keep moving, or for any other reason do not write the template itself, Can I do it somehow?
Thanks ahead, Peleg.

Just use ~~~~ because it will write the day and time etc. Filip
He means how to prevent it from substituting - he want's it live, changing with the CURRENT date and time (goodness knows why) - I don't have a solution. I guess it would require some hacking, or a sort of trashy solution would be to create another template like {{cd}} with the content {{CURRENTDAY}} in it; so that when {{cd}} is forced to substitute, it merely puts the {{CURRENTDAY}} template in there. Substitution isn't recursive through other templates, you know.

No doubt this bug will be fixed soon.

How's that a bug? Seems like the way it should work, the substitution is merely a precaution from keeping incautious users from using a template, there still may be reasons (such as the currentday/ currenttime thing, whyever he wants to use it) that a knowledgable user will put non-SUBST'd templates in his sig.

This is to stop you killing your wiki when you change your signature template, and to make sure variables and magic words are properly substituted.
