Hi,
Are there any official roadmaps or statements out there when a full Oracle support might be available? Or at least a explanation what experimental means - funtionally complete but not tested thoroughly?
I'm asking because our company is already running a number of applications on Oracle, so this would spare me from thinking about disaster recovery, backup, ... for the Wiki - the Oracle servers are already covered.
Thanks and regards, Roman

None at this time.
If you're interested in either picking up testing and maintenance of Oracle support yourself, or in funding someone to do that work, let us know.
(Ditto with the PostgreSQL support.)

Allegedly it worked at the time it was contributed. It's entirely possible that it ceased to function by the time of the 1.6 release, as no one is currently maintaining it.

Glad to hear that. I just commited two patches to make PG work against the latest cvs version:

If this is not the best process to do this, please let me know. There is a lot of other work that needs to be done, but the patches above should at least jumpstart things again. Thanks!

I'm committed the updated/merged patch on SVN trunk.
I don't have PG all set up yet to test with, so let me know if it's all happy or not...
