Hi guys,
I just installed MediaWiki. I uploaded a .svg file which is scaled in my page. When i include the image I get the following error message.
Error creating thumbnail:
Warning: passthru() has been disabled for security reasons in /home/bizproc/domains/bizproc.nl/public_html/mediawiki/includes/GlobalFun ctions.php on line 2030
I tried to change a couple of settings but nothing worked. Could you help me out?
Thanks,
Paul
i would guess that the disabling has probably been done by your webhost. might be worth contacting them to check and try to get it re-enabled.

Hi,
I already contact the provider but he told me he couldn't do anything for me. So I was hoping there would be a kind of workaround.
Thanks,
Paul

Change provider? You can disable SVG transforming, but chances are, your visitors won't be able to see them.
Hi guys,
I am making a wiki which contains quite a number of images. Each page contains an image more or less. Main idea is people can download such an image, modify it and upload it again. However, how can it be displayed again in the page without too many modifications to the page.
What I am looking for is some kind of versioning for images. So the page links to the last instance of the image and if a user wants to view an "older" image he can select one from a list.
Do you know of any solution for this problem?
Thanks!
With regards,
Paul van Erk
MediaWiki already does versioning of images. Just click on the image in question and you will see the File history on the image detail page.

Go to the image page and scroll down to the image history section and then click "Upload a new version of this file" and fill out the form and it will upload the new version of the image and show it in the image history section.
You can see this in action at this example image [Image:OTRS_Wikimedia.svg#filehistory]] as well as amny others when you look around on wikipedia and other mediawiki installs.
