Hi,
i tried to install the following extention:
http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:SphinxSearch
In step3
Step 3 - Run Sphinx Indexer
Run the sphinx indexer to prepare for searching:
/path/to/sphinx/installation/indexer --config /path/to/sphinx.conf --all
So what to do here? Especially when running on a windews system???

I believe this post is related to a later post you made about Step #2.
Basically, once you have finished Step #2 (see my comments on that post), then
you need to open up a command terminal (click the Start button, choose Run, and
type cmd). Then type
E:\xampp\sphinxs\indexer --config E:\xampp\htdocs\wiki\sphinx.con --all
of course, change the paths to wherever you have changed your sphinx.con file
to be.
Paul.
P.S. please consider posting about this extension on
http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension_talk:SphinxSearch. You will get a
faster response :-)
Thanks Paul,
but I've contacted Sevmir for some deeper informations and - what a
pleasure - the answer came immediatly with some useful hints
But at the moment I#m not sure - this search daemon is the right choice
for our system. We use the wiki as a MIS (intranet) on windows system.
But what about timecurrent searchrequests??
